WE ARE PROVIDING HEAT TREATMENT (T4 – T6) SERVICES, SPECIAL FOR ALUMINIUM DIE CASTING PARTS.
The Heat Treatment process is the process of heating aluminum die casting parts at a certain temperature, holding them at that temperature, and then cooling them again. The purpose of heat treatment process is to increase the strength in aluminum die casting parts.
The result of hardness parts are depends on several factor such as heating temperature, holding timer, and anything else.
The aluminium die cast parts will be heated to 500⁰C for 4-5 hours. The purpose of this is to dissolve all the alloying elements in a solid solution in the aluminum. Then we quench the alloy in water, this is to cool parts rapidly enough to prevent the alloying elements from precipitating on cooling
The alloy is heated again in various temperature from 160°C ~ 200⁰C for 4-6 hours then cooled by air allowing precipitation hardening.
This forms elements inside of aluminium crystalline structures, the size of which will dictate the strength. In general the smaller the crystals, the stronger the parts becomes.
